Volunteer with Marin's local harm reduction program

We're all concerned about the opioid crisis and the negative effects that substance use disorders have in our community. You can do something about it by volunteering with The Spahr Center's Harm Reduction program. We are looking for adults (18 and over) to staff our syringe access outreach, days and evenings, Monday-Friday. We provide the training and an enthusiastic yet relaxed environment. You'll learn about the Harm Reduction approach, how to recognize opioid overdoses, how to use Narcan, and other important elements of our effort to create a healthier community including referring clients for other needed social services. You'll work with other volunteers in small teams. Bilingual volunteers are especially desired. Contact for more information.
