Join nationally acclaimed artist Alan Shuptrine and learn the basics of watercolor from a master! The 2-hour watercolor workshop will be free of charge but does have a limited capacity. Soddy Daisy Community Library will provide all watercolor supplies at no charge through the generosity of the grant. During the class, Shuptrine will discuss the basic fundamentals of watercolor painting and demonstrate beginning techniques. He will work with the students and guide them through creating their own work of art, while providing them with a basic knowledge to hopefully encourage them to continue creating in watercolor. AND he is gifting the SDCL a copy of his recent gold IPPY award-winning book, I Come From a Place, for our collection! You must be a patron in good standing, no overdue books or late fees, to participate in this class. TICKETS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE SODDY-DAISY COMMUNITY LIBRARY. A $5 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED FOR EACH PARTICIPANT AND WILL BE RETURNED UPON ARRIVAL. EVENTBRITE TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, AND CLICKING GOING DOES NOT RESERVE A SPACE.
