Description

I have to re-home my chinchilla because I became extremely allergic to his dust. I am devastated. To make the transition easier for him, he will come with all of his things - critter nation, litter box, food, water bottle, toys, treats, dust and bath and hammocks. He was once moved into another room and hid/stayed in his hammock for a while, so I will only rehome him on the basis that he stays in the cage he comes with so that he is comfortable. He is very well socialized. He picks his favorite people (you can win his heart with treats). He will gladly jump into your arms with the prospect of dandelion treats. He loves baths and keeping his hammock clean. He will sweep his own hammock in the morning. He has been around other chinchillas before with no issues. He may benefit from a friend with proper introductions/socialization. He will happily climb into your hoodie pocket and stay there as long as you'll let him. Please be aware that chinchillas do require a lot of cleaning and to be prepared if you plan to have him as your first chinchilla. He is only 3 years old and has a long life ahead with a proper diet and care. He hasn't been getting as many baths as he should, as it causes extreme allergic reactions for me so I have tried to cut it back to save on expensive medication and suffering. He needs someone that has the ability to bathe him more often and comb him. He has curly hair on his belly because he carries the locken gene. He will let you touch his belly if youd like to pet him there. He does come with a reasonable rehoming fee. I just want him to end up in a loving home. If you are interested please send an email with a little info about you and your interest in him.
