GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Chamber of Commerce is calling off its signature Festival of the Vine due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the organization has softened the blow by announcing a new event that will last all of September. The "Sip & Sample Through September" event will feature numerous Geneva restaurants handing out food and drink samples to entice residents from throughout the region to the city, according to a news release. Tornado Touches Down In Kane County During Strong Storm: Photo Chamber officials are hopeful the new event will provide a boost to restaurants and businesses in the city, many of which were expecting to see an increase in sales during the Festival of the Vine. The festival was scheduled for Sept. 11-13.
