Development of NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude to conduct NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Classes NRA Rifle Instructor Course $175 Classroom instruction will be at High Desert Firearm Training located at 11120 Lancelet Ave, Apple Valley, CA starting at 8AM. We will be going to Apple Valley Gun Club for the Range portion of the class. Prerequisites : Successfully completed NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Class as a student. The Student NRA Rifle course is available 8/13/2022. Pre-registration is required at www.AppleValleyGunClub.Eventbrite.com Successfully completed NRA BIT (NRA Basic Instructor Training) in the previous 2 years . If you need to take the BIT Course, it is available 6/18/2022 OR 8/14/2022. Pre-Registration is required at www.HighDesertFirearmTraining.Eventbrite.com Goal of this course: To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course for students. Course Includes: Classroom and Range time learning the knowledge and skills needed to teach the sport of shooting rifles. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Instructor Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Instructor candidates will learn how to teach the NRA rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
