GENEVA, IL — Much like their peers throughout the country, Geneva District 304 students are grappling with how they will complete their coursework during the fall semester. The district on Friday unveiled its "Back Together in Geneva 304" plan to welcome students back to school amid the coronavirus pandemic. The plan offers students two options for learning during the fall semester: split your time between the classroom and remote learning, or complete all of your work from home. Both groups would rotate on Fridays, according to the plans. All students would be required to wear masks and practice social distancing while inside school facilities. District 304 schools are also set to remove excess classroom furniture to maximize space. Students who attend in-person classes must certify they are free of coronavirus-related symptoms each morning. Students who opt for the district's remote learning plan will receive a limited curriculum, with online classes set to focus on core subjects and graduation requirements for high school students, according to the plans.
