GENEVA, IL — Ahead of Geneva District 304's return to school at the end of August, officials are requiring parents to review and acknowledge the district's protocols for screening students for coronavirus symptoms. All parents in the district must verify online by noon Monday that they have reviewed the protocols and agree to follow them when the school year starts. Geneva Businesses Impacted By Pandemic Receive Relief Grants Students in all grades who opted for in-person learning are set to return to classrooms Aug. 31. Preschoolers in the Geneva Early Learning Program will start Sept. 2. Parents whose children signed up for in-person learning must log into the district's website and read its Student Symptom Screening Agreement. Students must bring the completed form to school Aug. 31, and they will be given extra copies to fill out daily, officials said. Kane Co. Animal Control To Host Drive-Thru Rabies Vaccine Clinic Each day before entering school buildings, students must provide a completed symptom-screening form signed by a parent or guardian. If anyone in a student's household is experiencing any coronavirus-related symptoms, the student should stay home, officials said. Parents whose children are enrolled in remote learning must also verify they reviewed the protocols but do not have to do daily symptom screening.
