KANE COUNTY, IL — Nearly 117,000 people in Kane County cast their ballots during the first month of early voting, representing more than two-thirds of the county's vote total in 2016. As of Oct. 25, mail-in voting was up more than 550 percent in 2020, according to Kane County Clerk John Cunningham. Almost 63,000 voters have mailed in ballots through the first month, compared to 9,424 total mail-in ballots cast during the 2016 election, Cunningham said, calling the turnout so far "amazing."
