GENEVA, IL — A customer was removed by police in August from the Ace Hardware store on West State Street in Geneva after he refused to put on a mask or leave the business, according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.
Police were called around 11 a.m. Aug. 14 by a manager who reported a man was yelling at her and other employees after he was told to put on a face mask, the Chronicle reports, citing police records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The man left the property after police told him he was not welcome there, the report states.
