GENEVA, IL — A 71-year-old St. Charles man died Thursday after he was hit by a car in Geneva, according to police. The man was crossing West State Street just after 7:45 a.m. Thursday when he was hit by a Toyota Yaris, police said. The driver, a 63-year-old DeKalb man, said he had a green light and did not see the man crossing the street due to early morning sunlight, police said. Two eastbound lanes of State Street were closed near Bricher Road until 2 p.m. Thursday as police investigated the crash.
