Description

We recently adopted this beautiful black Labrador retriever mix. We adore her and wish we could keep her, but, unfortunately, we underestimated her energy levels. We are unable to provide her with the level of activity she requires as we do not have a yard, and as we'd like to responsible, we want to rehome her to an individual or family that is capable of keeping up with her energy levels and need to expend it. She is energetic, playful, sweet, a little shy at first, incredibly affectionate, and eager to please. She is somewhat easily startled. She loves attention, and while she is content with cuddling and laying on her human, she loves even more going on long walks and running wild. She needs a LOT of exercise; we've taken her on three hour walks and daily hour walks and that isn't enough for her. She seems to get along well with other dogs. We do not know how she behaves around children. As she is a lab, she is a bit mouthy, so I would not test her around infants or toddlers until you know how she behaves. She is, as stated in the title, 1 year and 4 months. Her name at the shelter was Jennie, which is what will be on her Vet papers. We renamed her to Padme, but she's only partly responsive to it, so you could name her whatever you'd like. She is only 45 lbs. She has been dewormed and is UTD on vaccinations, including dog influenza, and she is spayed / altered. We will include her collar, a basic leash, two toys she likes--a squeaky toy and a rope tug--and her Vet info from the shelter we adopted her from which proves she is UTD. She is microchipped as well. We would return her to the shelter, but we have no operable car, and cannot make the trip again. (Therefore we are also unable to transport the dog to you, you must come to us.) We would like you to meet the dog outside, possibly go for a walk with her (one of us would walk with you to get you acquainted with the dog), or play with her in the hallway and get to know her, and if you feel you are a good match and will give her the life she needs, you can purchase and adopt her. If you are interested, please call us @ about the dog to set up a date to meet her. (and also so we can give you our address). You can also email, but a phone call will be responded to much faster. Please ask for Gary or Danny and state that you are inquiring about the dog. We want to rehome her ASAP for her health and mental wellbeing. We are looking for $150 upon adoption. We will not negotiate the price, it is incredibly fair and less than we paid for her.
