WAYLAND, MA — Welcome to the March 7 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up during the week in Patch communities between Wayland and Worcester. Here's what to know for the week of March 7: Wayland The Wayland Free Library recently updated its "library of things" with new items available starting this week. Those include a home thermal leak detector and a device that can convert old tapes into digital music files. Worcester Worcester will hold the Woman and Young Woman of Consequence Awards on Thursday, honoring Michelle Smith of AIDS Project Worcester and Doherty High School student leader Nellie Rushton. Find out more about how to watch the ceremony. Marlborough This will be the first full week of registration for Marlborough's annual college internship program. Local students can apply to work in different municipal departments, from public health to engineering. Applications will be accepted through the end of April. Milford First-term U.S. Rep. Jake Auchincloss officially kicked off his reelection campaign over the weekend, according to Politico. Auchincloss won the 4th Congressional District seat, which covers Milford, in 2020 after a tight primary race against Jesse Mermell. His district stretches from Newton to Milford and south to Fall River, so expect a Worcester County visit at some point soon. Sudbury The deadline to register to vote in Sudbury's spring 2022 election is Tuesday. You can check your registration status here, and register to vote online here. You can also visit the Town Clerk's office before the close of business on Tuesday to register. If you have an event or activity you want included in Monday Manual, email [email protected].
