Description
Geneva, IL. (December 16, 2020) - Traditionally, students and families gather in December to marvel at the photos curated by students throughout the Annual Kane County ROE Student Photography contest. This is a 10-week contest during the first semester of the school year.
This year, like many other events in 2020, the reception has gone virtual! While the ROE is saddened to not be celebrating in person, it is excited to reach an even larger audience than normal.
“While we weren’t able to gather in-person this year, we were excited to reach many people who couldn’t traditionally attend. Grandparents, far away relatives, and even people with busy schedules can now watch on their own time,” says Patricia Dal Santo, Regional Superintendent of Kane County Schools.
This year’s reception will feature a virtual gallery where users can navigate through to view the photos, as well as an award ceremony broadcast through YouTube to recognize the top 10 winners of each week.
