AUSTIN, TX — Austin police officers were involved in a shooting Sunday evening, according to the Austin Police Department. The shooting occurred at 7114 North Interstate 35 in north Austin. The southbound service road on the 7100 block of North I-35 is blocked while police investigate the shooting, authorities said. Police were investigating a shooting at the Motel 6 on that block when the officer-involved shooting occurred at the 7-Eleven nearby, according to KXAN. One person has died in the incident, according to the report.
