FRANKFORT, IL — For the first time since 2016, the Lincoln-Way East boys cross country team has qualified as a team for the IHSA Class 3A state finals.
While the girls cross country team didn't qualify for state, sophomore Kate Guderjan qualified as an individual to run in the finals.

Congrats!!!— LWE XC & TF (@lwe_xc_tf) November 3, 2019 The Lincoln-Way East boys team heading to state consists of: seniors Ben Zinsky, Ryan McEldowney, Cameron Kavanaugh, Brett Gardner; juniors Rohan Chaudhary, Nolan Enright, Steven Roberts, Bobby Trainor; sophomores Hayden Stairs, Nolan Rogers, Adam Drumheller; and freshmen Gerry Cushing, Justin Falejcyzk and Jack Roberts.
The head coach of the boys team is Ross Widinski and the assistant coach is Paul Babcock.
The boys and girls cross country state finals meet will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
