Here are the top 3 stories in Anchorage today: Last Friday, Adam Sullivan was convicted by an Anchorage Superior Court judge for second-degree murder for the 2017 killing of his wife, Brandy Sullivan. Judge Erin Marston found the 45-year-old man guilty after a five-week trial. According to reports, Sullivan and his wife were recently separated in the months leading up to the murder. Authorities said that Sullivan followed his ex-wife home, assaulted her, and shot her. He then proceeded to call his brother and girlfriend and confessed to the crime. (Alaska Native News)The Anchorage Police Department is in the process of equipping police with body cameras. In response to this, the community has many questions about the implementation and footage access. According to Chief Michael Kerle, a timeline has not yet been set in place for the integration of the body cameras. Kerle also stated that he plans to roll out the technology on a limited basis. As of right now, it is unclear whether or not the entire force would be using them. (Anchorage Daily News)Currently, the Anchorage police are investigating a death that was deemed "suspicious in nature." The death took place near 4300 Arctic Boulevard. According to reports, a community alert was sent out this past Saturday about a teenage girl that was found dead inside her home on Arctic Boulevard. Currently, an investigation is taking place. The police stated that the State Medical Examiner will soon determine the cause of death.
