It has been a dangerous journey, they said, but one they didn't have a choice to make. Father's Care works with children with a range of troubled backgrounds - from parents with substance addiction or prostitution to kids with no parents. "We've been doing this since 1998," said founder Jane Hyatt. "We've had well over 500 children come to the Ark. I love, love, love, love the Ukrainian people." At this point in the Russian invasion, the nonprofit says it can't reliably get supplies to the kids, so monetary donations are best, of which 99.2 percent go directly to support the kids. Donations can be made via the Father's Care website or through an online fundraiser set up by the nonprofit. A woman with a gunshot wound in a pickup truck was found by Atlanta police about 12:40 a.m. Saturday around I-75 and Langford Parkway. After she was taken to the hospital, police later learned three people β€” a man and two women β€” had driven to a hospital with gunshot wounds from the same incident. Those three victims had been in a Lamborghini on I-75 when another vehicle pulled next to them and began shooting, according to police, who believe the shooting happened because of an argument earlier that night. None of the victims had life-threatening injuries and officials have not given information about a suspect. According to a state Supreme Court news release, Supreme Court Chief Justice David Nahmias and Court of Appeals Vice Chief Judge Amanda Mercier placed the box near the front entrance of the Nathan Deal Judicial Center on Thursday afternoon. Nahmias said the time capsule commemorates the completion of the building's construction. In August 2017, ground was broken for the building, named after former Gov. Nathan Deal, and it was dedicated in February 2020. (AM 920 The ANSWER) From our sponsor: Today's Atlanta Daily is brought to you in part by Newrez, a leading nationwide mortgage lender.
