FRANKFORT, IL — Several businesses in Frankfort Township were burglarized or damaged on Sunday, the Will County Sheriff's Office said. At 3 a.m., July 26, deputies were dispatched to Miroballi's Pizza, 7956 W. Lincoln Highway, for an activated alarm. At the same time, deputies were also called to a burglary in progress next door at Happy Daze vape shop, 7954 W. Lincoln Highway. When police arrived at Miroballi's, they saw the front glass door of the business had been cracked, but no burglars got inside, police said. The sheriff's office said the suspects were three men in a black Toyota Camry. Happy Daze also had its front glass window shattered with a brick, and burglars did make it inside that business, police said. The owner of the business estimated that $600 worth of vape mods, $1,000 worth of vape coils and a small amount of cash were stolen. Police reviewed video footage from Happy Daze, and a witness provided further information about the incident, the sheriff's office said. At 3:08 a.m., shortly after police arrived at Happy Daze, an activated alarm was reported at Rich's Pizza, 7228 W. Benton Drive. According to police, the front glass door of Rich's had also been shattered, and the owner said two Samsung tablets were stolen. While at Rich's Pizza, police also saw the front door smashed in at nearby Salon Malizia, 7226 W. Benton Drive, but the burglars did not enter that business. While deputies were at the businesses, another deputy on patrol saw a car matching the description of the suspects' vehicle. The officer followed the car while it sped onto eastbound I-80, but was unable to make a traffic stop, police said. Deputies were also notified of a similar burglary at a liquor store in Homewood with a matching description of the suspects' vehicle, police said.
