My name is Alison (Alie) Boggs. I am requesting that anyone who has information regarding what happened to me at the hands of my "father," James, "Jim" or "Jimmy," Boggs, when I was around age 2 (circa 1989) please contact me privately as soon as possible. It happened in or around Waverly, IA, but he lived in the Elgin area in the mid 90s (roughly 1995-1997, give or take a couple years in either direction). I am not seeking to press legal charges at this time. You will remain anonymous in the event that I ever do decide to press charges. At this point, I simply want to know the truth about what he did to me and my family will not tell me, or assist me in finding out any details. I know that I was taken to a hospital somewhere in the area (likely either Cedar Rapids, IA or Waterloo, IA) for a sexual abuse assessment, for which the results were supposedly "inconclusive," but the name and location of the hospital has apparently been "forgotten," as have all details of what he actually did to me. I have memories of physical effects from that time, which I only recently came to understand. My mother has confirmed that I told her something was done to me at that time, during a visit with him, but she will not tell me the full truth and in fact, claims to not remember anything. I have attempted to go the route of obtaining medical records, DHS investigation files, and the like, but no one has anything on file from that time anymore, and/or I am not contacting the correct places because no one will tell me anything. I have suffered the effects of his abuse for 35 years now, and have been unable to get the appropriate help for it because I don't know what was done to me. I have been trying to get help since I was 14 years old, and my entire life has been a result of the fallout. All I am seeking is the truth, and to get better. You will not be held responsible for any information you share with me. I will not expect you to deal with any of the emotional impact or any other effects. I am just asking for your help, and your honesty. Thank you.
