Description
Are you tired of:
- Prima donna vocalists complaining about about volume levels?
- Other instruments who don’t sit right in the mix or know when to let your parts stand out?
- Playing smoke-filled, wing-bone-lined and peanut-crusted biker bars just to get offered a tip bucket for payout?
If so you’re on the right track.
Have a new concept for a cover band that I haven’t seen in this area. Would love to bring in the right guitarist for the project.
Not for the inexperienced or those without semi-professional mindset. Must be able to handle both rhythm and lead parts as needed.
Will include several tracks from the following artists (may include more depending on response and tastes):
Zeppelin, Sabbath, AC/DC, Skynyrd, the Allman Bros, Toto, Doobie Bros, Metallica, Van Halen, Ozzy, STP, Soundgarden, Rage, Tool, Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and other guitar-driven riff-based acts.
Need to be able to practice at home and come to rehearsals full prepared (will provide sheet music/notation but bonus if you have skills arranging). Professional equipment which can cover a variety of sounds (especially those with modelers considered first). And no one over 40, sorry just not looking to spend upwards of 4 hours at a gig hanging with my dad’s peers.
Have been playing live shows in and around Knoxville for 20 years and have the connections to make this a self-sustaining project.
Please send demos of your playing when responding and I’ll explain the concept to those who fit the bill.
