Description
Regular Yard Maintenance needed - East Knox I am a disabled woman on a fixed income seeking regular and affordable yard care at the house I rent. The house is located on a fully fenced (chain link) double lot, much of which is on a steep hill. The yard is not terribly overgrown - yet. But it will get pretty tall here VERY soon! I just moved in last week and the landlord has not mowed all winter, and it's in the lease that I am responsible for maintaining the yard, so... What I need: 1. Get the lots mowed and weed eated asap. And any overgrown areas that need clearing out (a few small areas of the yard - nothing too bad). 2. Have two small areas tilled for garden beds. Approximately 12 feet long by 3 feet wide. 2 areas along either side of a level fence line. *As this is a one time job, I can probably locate a friend with a tiller for this, so if you don't own a tiller please still read on!* 3. Going forward - after the initial work is done - I would like to have you come (approximately) every two weeks to mow and weed eat the areas that are too difficult for me to maintain - the parts of the yard that are on a steep hill, which equals about half of the land. There are parts of the yard that are level and easy for me to handle so I can and will do those myself once you have done the initial work to get me started. I would like for this to begin as soon as possible, not too much later than mid March. After the 1st time, we begin the regular maintenance (starting the 1st week of April is ideal). The ongoing yard maintenance job is longterm: for the spring, summer and into the fall. I am very flexible about how often you come for the regular maintenance. Sure, we could set it for an exact timeline, if you prefer, like the 1st and the 15th. Or, you can come as needed / depending on weather / how much rain has fallen / how tall the grass has grown / fitting me in around other jobs you have, etc. Either way is fine. I just want to keep this regular yet affordable. Please call me (865.385.3911) anytime after 9am and before 7pm to discuss your rates. As I am on a fixed income, we will have to cap the number of hours you work, relative to your hourly rates. Even though money is tight for me, I will pay a fair wage and don't expect any work for free. Ever. Please have all your own equipment (weedeater, rakes / blower, mower, garbage bags, etc.). My equipment is pretty weak and wouldn't hold up for long doing the entire double lot (OLD rakes, electric powered mower & weedeater). Also, I'd prefer to not lend them out as they're all I have. I only want to hire a small, locally owned business. I am especially interested in supporting sole proprietors and minority owned companies. I'm also open to hiring a school aged person just starting out with their own side hustle landscaping company! To give job experience, plus I'd be happy to be a reference for future jobs you bid on. Point is, big crews or large companies with dozens on the payroll need not contact me. I only want to support small and locally owned businesses. If you are interested please call - don't text or email. (Although, before we begin working together I will need to email briefly to have a record of our terms). I can and will text going forward (like, sending you photos of the yard). Or email if you prefer. But to start, our 1st contact needs to be a phone call. Thanks for reading and I look forward to talking to you soon!
