What is needed? sobriety, respect for each other, family atmosphere conversation, grand-children's pictures if applicable, no politics (really, does that need to be mentioned ?) A covered dish with homemade oatmeal cookies would be nice, but not required. The C-ville Musicians’ Exchange has gotten together to jam for the past 158 consecutive months (with about a year and a half gap due to Covid). We play a unique repertoire of originals and re-interpreted 60s, 70s, and 80s covers from Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Joe Zawinul, Charles Mingus, B.B. King, Kenny Burrell, Freddie King, Herbie Hancock, Albert King, Etta James, Muddy Waters, The Meters, Little Feat, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Buchanan, Curtis Mayfield, The Butterfield Blues Band, Derek Trucks, Donny Hathaway, Amy Winehouse, Steely Dan, Etta James, ZZ Top, Robben Ford, Bonnie Raitt, Bobby 'Blue' Bland among many others. I'm a local, have two degrees in music production, have a job in audio/video, and have all the most updated gear ready to record. I can record up to 26 tracks at one time as a full band and also have instruments and musicians available. Mixing and mastering all done as well in one package. We are looking for a committed bass player that brings their own energy to the table.Putting together a cover band to play bar gigs around the Nashville area. I have had a successful bar band here for several years. This is a start up situation and a part time weekend gig, not for someone trying to make a living playing music. We are a new emo/alt rock band trying to find another guitarist. If you can sing thats a plus! Ideally would like to switch back and forth with solos. We are all around 30.
