Lab mix. 1 1/2 years old. All black. Approx 40 lbs. Up to date on all shots. Was heart worm positive. Treated and clear. Adopted about two months ago from shelter.
Pros:
House broken.
Not aggressive.
Very good at fetch.
Does not run off
Loves car rides.
Great on leash or off.
Doesn’t tear up the house.
Never chewed a shoe.
Cons:
Has severe separation anxiety. If you leave him alone you have to put him in a kennel. The only time he ever destroyed anything in the house was when I left him alone and he tore down the curtains and blinds tryin to get out to find me.
That’s the only knock on the lil guy.
Why am I trying to regime him? I work full time and he spends the whole day in a kennel. It’s not fair the the dog.
Why don’t I take him back to the shelter? Honestly because they aren’t truthful about the animals. They told me they had to sedate him the day I met him because it was a busy day with a lot of people. Well turns out they were sedating him every day because of his separation anxiety. They didn’t bother to share his whole history with me. I found out about the daily sedation when I went over his medical records.
What he needs is a home with someone that’s retired. Be a great buddy for a retired person. He’s be great with a special needs child that needs a companion. I promise he won’t leave their side.
I’m not charging a rehoming fee. I do want to make sure he has a good home. Again he’s a great dog. He just needs to be in the right situation.
