Class will teach first time woodturners how to make a their own simple pen on the lathe.
Pens make for great gifts, especially if they are hand-made. Learn the basics of spindle turning while creating a hand-turned pen that you can take home and enjoy. Materials will be provided for students.
In this extended pen-turning workshop, students will select, cut, and drill out their blanks before moving over to the lathe. This extended class requires that students have already completed Wood Shop 1 and Wood Shop 4 tool trainings at Technocopia. Those who have not yet completed these courses are encouraged to sign up for our regular Pen Turning posting for the same times.
