The Second tasting events for both the Scotch curious and the Scotch knowledgeable focusing on comparing the same malt in different wood.
Single Malt Scotch isn't whisky until it rests in a barrel-but what type? Bourbon, Sherry, Port, first fill or refill? This event features on comparing the same single malt in 2 different barrels. The tasting isn't being guided by one of the foremost authorities on Scotch in Denver. No. It is being guided by someone six years into learning about Scotch-still enthusiastic and not jaded yet. Come compare and contrast these difficult to source drams and discover your favorites. Come drink whisky at Bierstadt. Jackets required-they may be ironic.
Attendees can chose to do 1, 2, or all 3 comparisons (2 - 30mL samples of the same Whisky in different barrels) and includes a complimentary Scotch and Soda. This event takes place March 15th (but there is no need to beware) from 7-9:30 at Bierstadt Lagerhaus 2875 Blake Street. Price is dependent on whether you chose to 2, 4, or 6 whiskys. Price includes tax and tip. Food and Beer are available for purchase.
