"It is far better to light a candle than to curse the darkness..." In 1982 a group of concerned parents, led by Eileen Browning , made a choice to protect the children of our community from drug and alcohol misuse. Finding new and creative ways to meet the needs of the youth of Rockland's community is the foundation of CANDLE's existence. Join us as we celebrate 40 years of work in Rockland to ensure that every child has the tools they need to minimize the factors that lead to alcohol and substance misuse and make informed choices about their emotional well-being. We will hear from former CANDLE kids, parents of children who were in CANDLE programs and celebrate those who have been supporters of CANDLE throughout the years. We will also share a big announcement about what CANDLE is planning to do next!
