Manhattan's oldest house is hosting a Paranormal Investigation on Eliza Jumel's 247th birthday - including investigating in her bedroom! Looking for an unforgettable ghost adventure for you and your friends? Visit Manhattan's oldest remaining house for this exclusive paranormal investigation! On Saturday, April 2nd - celebrate the Mansion’s longest living resident, Madame Eliza Jumel, with a specialized paranormal investigation on her 247th birthday. Explore the house Madame Jumel lived in for 55years and paranormal history through the lens Learn about the background of paranormal investigations, while learning the history of the Morris-Jumel Mansion (including the legendary paranormal activity at Mansion!), and discover interesting facts about the museum collection and its former residents, specifically focusing on Madame Jumel. During the program, you will have after-dark access to ghost hunt in the period rooms of the Mansion, normally closed off to the public. Believers and skeptics alike will enjoy the evening, and will have the opportunity to possibly communicate with Morris-Jumel Mansion’s former residents using paranormal investigative equipment. Please take note: Strictly for those 18 and over.Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing.All participants must show proof of vaccination, according to NYC health and safety regulations.This event is capped at 12 participants.All guests MUST wear masks, and will be provided with nitrile gloves for use with the investigative equipment (masks and gloves are NOT optional).Given then special period room access guests will be granted, intoxicated guests will not be permitted into the house.This specialty themed investigation lasts 2.5 hours and is priced at $70/person.Your health and safety are our top priorities. Please be assured that the museum will follow guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), New York State, and New York City for increased health and safety procedures.PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with the New York City mandate, to enter the Museum all visitors 12 and older are now required to show 1) proof that they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 2) a valid I.D. Your safety, and that of our team, continue to be our top priority, so at this time we also still require staff and visitors to wear masks. In advance of your visit, you will receive a vaccination questionnaire and present ID and proof of vaccination. Before any guest can enter the museum, or participate in an organized activity, you must complete, submit, and pass the vaccination questionnaire. We must have a completed form for each member in your party, including minors. There is a family/household option within the form, which can be used if all members you are listing live in the same household.
