This evening features a special talk by Bexx Caswell-Olson, the Director of Book Conservation at Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC). She will discuss some aspects of conservation work and will highlight some of the past projects NEDCC has completed for the Society. This special event will also offer attendees a closer look at an item in our collection in need of conservation — the scrapbook of Margaret (Peggy) Kimball Harsh (1906-1975). A long-time Lexington resident, she was a DAR member, an amateur poet, an artist, a co-founder of the Lexington Arts & Crafts Society (now LexArt), and an accomplished aviatrix on par with Amelia Earhart — among other things. By all accounts, Peggy was a captivating Lexington woman. Admission to this event supports the Society’s conservation efforts. Additional opportunities to sponsor these efforts will be available at the event. Refreshments will be served. We hope you can join us!
