Annual fundraiser benefiting ChildSafe and Prevent Child Abuse America Join us for High Tea, updates from ChildSafe, and a silent auction in support of ChildSafe and Prevent Child Abuse America! We are excited to welcome KSAT 12 news reporter Courtney Friedman as our featured speaker. Courtney reports on issues including domestic violence, trafficking, foster care, homelessness and suicide awareness. In 2021, Courtney was honored with the Media Award of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers Alamo Area Branch for her work covering domestic violence. We hope you will join us as we continue to bring awareness to the ongoing efforts to prevent child abuse in Bexar County. $50 per person -Event admission, silent auction, and High Tea with fruit, two types of sandwiches, scones, mini-muffins, special sweets tea, coffee, and water. About Kappa Delta Shamrock Since 1981, Kappa Delta has been a proud supporter of Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA), an organization founded by the late Donna Stone, one of our own Kappa Delta sisters. To date, Kappa Delta has donated more than $26 million to prevent child abuse in our country. Thousands of KDs in hundreds of communities nationwide host Shamrock events every year to raise money for national and local child abuse prevention efforts. The San Antonio Alumnae Chapter continues to partner with ChildSafe to bring awareness to the rampant problem of child abuse in Bexar County. The mission of ChildSafe is to restore dignity, hope, and trust to children traumatized by abuse and neglect. They are vital to the health and success of our children. According to their 2020 annual report, ChildSafe has served 5,289 children and their families conducted 1,913 forensic interviews, and conducted 6,464 healing counseling sessions for child abuse victims and their caretakers.
