Description
CRASE is designed and built on Avoid, Deny, Defend to provide strategy, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. With all the active shooter events happening across the world, it only makes sense to be prepared. Sign up to receive training from trained police officers, who are passionate about what it takes to keep you safe! Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Class will be held on the southern end of the Texas Health Dallas campus in Professional Building in the Auditorium at 8194 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas 75231. Please enter the building entrance and take a left past the elevators to enter the auditorium space. Parking is free! A tradition has begun where past CRASE attendees have joined the host and instructors for lunch afterwards at Enchilada's Mexican Restaurant at 7050 Greenville Avenue (0.4 miles away). The food is good and cheap, and the environment is friendly and relaxed. Your CRASE instructors: Captain Mike Lane, ret.Texas Ranger Brad Oliver, ret. Both officers have decades of experience in law enforcement between them, as well as a long list of honors and achievements for both. They are the founders of Cinco Peso Training Group, LLC. Both men are strong believers that the security of our society rests in the hands of those willing to prepare to defend it. As first responders themselves, both have witnessed how the outcome of a critical incident is more often impacted by the actions of “immediate responders” already on scene rather than those arriving in the moments that follow. Be it industrial accidents in the workplace, threats of violence from others, or the natural destruction left behind by Mother Nature, it is Cinco Peso Training Group’s mission to prepare others willing to “fill the gap” between time of incident and first responder arrival…. For the Common Defense.
