Corporate gifting has been a huge part of marketing. Many companies are really interested in gifting things to other clients, or sales teams. It is a interesting way to impress people. It is not a shock that people like to get gifts. It has been something that my company has realized and is something that we enjoy giving. It is a bit costly and has a whole crazy market, but we have started to do it in house and learned lots of things. The fun thing is that the options for corporate gifting are incredible and really fun to get and dive right into. So today I want to take you through some of the things I have learned with my company and places to go to get it. The first thing that we fell on right away was the delivery. The package that the gift comes in makes a huge difference. We think back to Christmas and what types of gifts you enjoyed the most. The consensus is that the best looking ones are crisp, clean, and fit the occasion. That means that the box and wrapping paper simply look the part of a Christmas Gift. If you are getting a Birthday gift for instance that is wrapped in duct tape it is likely not going to be received very well. I can attest to this personally I am not a fan of gifts that look sloppy. What this meant was we had to find a place to get a great box for our corporate gifts. We wanted a custom looking box that was branded from us and was going to look classy. The search for us took us directly online. We found great sites on Etsy that had amazing custom work but the cost of this was really high. Then we searched more and found that shipping supplies companies had wholly customizable boxes that could be sold in bulk and at discounts. This seemed to tick all the boxes that we were looking for. We ended up calling them up and getting great advice and pricing which lead us to work on the stuffing. There are lots of ways to fill the gaps of boxes in between the gifts that are in them. Now many people used crinkle paper or newssheet paper. There are lots of different custom colors and looks for each of these items and we ended up deciding on the paper version of this. We could choose custom colors and patterns on it and it seemed less messy and more classy for our gifts. This was also something we purchased at the shipping supplies store and we got bulk discounts on it as well. The comparison of companies was about a 30% savings and we ended up liking the different variety from the big store verses the little custom shops on Etsy. The experience from the big stores also allowed them to give us actual advice on corporate gifting because they have been helping companies for years. They are the direct supplier for most marketing companies and even these big corporate gifting companies and this was a wonderful help to us. So I suggest shopping at the correct store and providing the look you want for your company. I like going direct and getting the best product with the best advice.
