Description
The student will be introduced to the lathe and the proper use of the high speed steel turning tools. The student will learn a variety of techniques of turning between centers, or spindle turning including sharpening tools. The student will turn a handle that can be matched with the turning kit of their choice. Kits (Pizza Cutter, Ice cream scoop, etc.) will be available at special student pricing. A safety face shield is required which will be provided if necessary. Time will be allowed during the class for a lunch break.
