EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Enjoy an evening of pop, classical and Broadway music Saturday, Jan. 25 presented by members of Evergreen Park's Candelight Theatre. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the performance hall at the Evergreen Park Senior Center, 9547 S. Homan Ave.
"Candlelight Serenade" featuring members of the community theater troupe who will sing a song or two in an elegant concert setting. The show runs a little over an hour, followed by a wine, cheese and hors d'ouevre reception for all the guests and performers. Soft drinks and water will be available for those under 21, or choose not to have a glass of wine.
"This is an event we try to do once a year, where I ask some of our more seasoned vocalists to donate their time to do a song," said Glen Pniewski, communications and company director for Evergreen Park. "It's a nice little one-night performance."
Prepaid reservations are a must through the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St. or by calling 708-229-3343. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors/students.
