TAMPA, FL — A 34-year-old motorcyclist from Tampa has died following a crash on Interstate 4 west of Orient Road Friday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:40 p.m., the motorcyclist and a van driven by a 61-year-old man from Michigan were heading east on I-4 when a black SUV abruptly changed lanes and swerved into the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist reacted by changing lanes and slowing to avoid a collision with the SUV, but hit the rear of the van. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
