Yard Worker / General labor/Handyman

Jobs

Redding CA

Description

I am looking for part-time worker 2 to 3 days per week. I prefer dependable candidate with a good work attitude who is willing to learn many new tasks. Some experience can be helpful, however, I am not a business or rich but I know electrical, painting, automotive, bookkeeping, minor plumbing, welding, wood work and prefer to train an apprentice or college student that is open to learning to train. I am open to “skilled trades people” for certain projects with wages to be negotiated per project. However, if a person wants steady part-time I can schedule steady hours. I had a man from Brazil work for me the past 2 years 3 days per week, 3-6 hours per day. He had no experience except office work. Tasks we did include: 1) Trained to do bookkeeping 2) Fence Repair-(I have fence that needs repair & painting NOW and will discuss with someone with fencing experience if interested) 3) Concrete-I have small project when weather permits if you have concrete experience 4) Soldered & rewired wheel chair lift, electric doors, electric seat 5) Rebuilt rear end & replaced rear axles on Astro Van 6) Diagnosed heater on van, replaced radiator, water pump 7) Did front & rear brakes on vehicle 8) Landscaped front & rear of my house, soldered in landscape lights 9) Installed security cameras 10) Installed Flourescent Lights 11) Installed new stove range 12) Install Ceiling Fan 13) Mowed Yards 14) Plant Flowers 15) Trim Trees & Bushes 16) Wash boat/cars 17) Take boat out to the lake 18) Installed new AC thermostat But now my worker has completed college and found work in his field. In short, I need a general laborer willing be flexible to take directions and help me keep my home operating efficiently. Some projects I’d hire a more skilled person include: 1) Wiring generator cut-off switch & new outlets-Electrical experience 2) Small slab for generator (concrete experience) eventually may have more concrete work. 3) Fence Repair 4) Paint Fence 5) Automotive mechanic (occasional jobs as needed) 6) Possibly repaint outside house.
