Press release from Slate School: March 5, 2022 Please join us on Saturday, April 23rd from 11:00am to 12:00pm, rain or shine. During our Earth Day Celebration, we invite the community to accompany our horticulturalist and facilities manager, Rana Bates, on a tour of the grounds. The tour will meander through a native stand of white pines, across dry and wet meadows, around a pond, and hug the woodland border. We will discuss the various ecosystems found throughout our conservation land and share the ways in which we care for and interact with these spaces. We will also examine how the landscape proper works to mimic and assist the native flora and fauna. We encourage everyone to join us as we honor our connection with nature.
