Hello All, We are looking for a Center Manager for Stemtree of Ashburn located in Ashburn, VA: Stemtree’s focus on science and engineering aligns with today’s nationwide emphasis on STEM education. Our goal is to nurture children’s inner scientist through fun, hands on learning built upon a core scientific curriculum that will give the edge they need to succeed in science and engineering- whether that means a better grade in class, a future science and engineering related career, or just having fun. Stemtree of Ashburn is now seeking a self-motivated, bright, and ambitious professional looking to make a difference in the lives of our students, while managing a growing business and participating in the center’s financial success. Responsibilities: • Manage the center during instructional hours and make sure center standards and procedures are followed • Growing student enrollment • Generating brand awareness with local schools and community organizations • Ensure all instructors follow the Stemtree method when teaching students • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to center owner(s) regarding center issues and performance • Participate in local marketing/sales events • Perform operational and administrative functions as assigned • Opening the facility for all Stemtree services, preparing for the day’s sessions, and closing on business days Qualifications: • Passion for working with children, and a genuine interest in helping students learn science and engineering • Minimum 1 year related experience, preferably in a leadership role in education, sales or customer service • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and nurture strong relationships • Ability to train and engage instructors as well as delegating responsibilities. • Strong interpersonal skills, and a high degree of comfort interacting with children, parents and instructors • Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and projects. • Work independently with moderate supervision • Flexible/adaptable to constant change • Availability during business operating hours for our after school programs, camps, and birthday parties • College degree preferred Hours will vary, but generally are afternoon and evenings: Monday-Friday from 3pm-8pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm. Pay will be based on education and experience.
