He finished 2nd to Hillary in the popular vote for 2016 by 3 million. Then Biden beat him by even more in the 2020 election. Quirks of the electoral college was the ONLY reason he became President and that was with a little help from Putin. So he's never been very popular with the American people and his approval rating never once hit 50%. The only President to never get half the country think he was any good at all. It's a pretty low bar that every other President in history hit. Some even stayed above 50% for more than half of their term. Overall, you'd have to say he's a pretty big loser.
