Let's talk about Unintended Consequences... I offer the government's Clean Air Act Amendment of 1990, which is a case study on UC and on which Joe Biden voted yes. This bill made supposedly ozone depleting aerosol propellant CFCs illegal to combat the "holes in the ozone layer", over which Al Gore would regularly get as weepy as an Indian at a concert venue the day after an ICP show. Well, fast forward to the present, Biden was complaining in the abortion of a SotU Address this week about the price of asthma inhalers and I couldn't facepalm hard enough to get his utter horse crap off blanking Trump and capitalists and "evil" profiteers out of my head... But the only reason inhalers are expensive is because that Clean Air Act Amendment made the propellant inside the albuterol illegal and the gas was changed. The change in the propellant allowed the person who chose the new propellant to register a new patent and all the existing generic asthma inhaler companies went bankrupt overnight. And since the new formula guy was the only game in town for a country with an epidemic of asthma they can charge whatever they want and suffocating patients have to pay it. And so Medicare is reimbursing a company the market price per inhaler all because of the stupid MYTH of man made ozone holes. That's right. It was completely bs. There were no man made holes, the holes they saw were a seasonal event that had no connection to CFC propellants whatsoever. In the graphic attached to this post you'll see that the ozone in the north has a yearly minimum in late March and coincides with the earth tilt away from the sun (which is theorized to create new ozone). The exact same tilt causes the south to have a minimum 6 months later in October. This is why all scare tactic graphics used by environazis will only show south pole pictures from October and not from the rest of the year. This is a myth with real world consequences.... for you. No consequences for the Potato-in-Chief.
