The City of Evanston has announced changes in service delivery and facility schedules in recognition of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
Refuse Collection During the Christmas holiday week, Monday through Thursday trash and recycling collections will occur as normal. Friday condo trash and recycling collections will occur on Saturday, December 26.
During the New Year's holiday week, Monday through Thursday trash and recycling collections will occur as normal. Friday condo trash and recycling collections will occur on Saturday, January 2, 2021
311 The City's 311 Center will close at 4 p.m. on December 24 and 31, and will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
Facilities
The Morton Civic Center will remain closed. Both Evanston Public Library locations will be closed on December 24, 25 and January 1. The Main Library will close at 5 p.m. on December 31, and the Robert Crown Branch Library will be closed all day. The Chandler-Newberger Center will be closed December 24-27 and January 1. The Ecology Center will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1. The Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will be closed on December 24, 25 and January 1, and will close at 3 p.m. on December 31. The Levy Senior Center will be closed December 24-27 and January 1. The Noyes Cultural Arts Center will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1, and will close at 3 p.m. on December 31. The Robert Crown Community Center will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1. For more information, please call/text 847-448-4311. For convenience, residents may simply dial 3-1-1 in Evanston.
