BHHS Chicago in Evanston Donates $2,000 to Interfaith Action

EVANSTON, IL – December 8, 2020 – The Evanston office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and the firm’s philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, have announced that they will donate $2,000 to Interfaith Action of Evanston. The money is part of a $40,000 donation pool to local food pantries this year in place of the company’s annual holiday party. The Evanston office has a long-standing relationship with Interfaith Action and chose to support them because the organization brings people together to serve the hungry and homeless, pursue interfaith dialogue, and engage in advocacy that promotes social justice. Pat Vaughan, managing broker of the firm’s Evanston office, said, “I’m proud to donate $2,000 to Interfaith Action on behalf of our office and company. It was important to us to choose an organization that will make excellent use of the funds to support their mission of feeding the hungry at a time when need is so profound.” Nineteen of the company’s offices throughout Chicagoland, as well as in Indiana and Michigan, participated in the holiday pantry donation event.
