Overview Inkwell Home Store is looking for a driven, responsible person with a strong leadership skillset to join our team as a Delivery/Warehouse Supervisor; this full time position requires availability from 9:00am to 6:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Inkwell Home Store, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is a family owned establishment since 1964. We are a local home store that surrounds lovers-of-nice-things with an array of fine furniture, unique gifts and quality kitchenware. Responsibilities The Delivery/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the organization and execution of furniture assembly and delivery operations. This position ensures all delivery staff are properly trained in furniture lines and the corollary assembly/disassembly instructions for these vendors. In addition, the Delivery/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the organization of the delivery schedule, insuring that all customers receive their deliveries in a timely fashion, while making sure to schedule efficiently, utilizing solid time management skills. They themselves must also be able to receive, load, unload, prepare, and inspect all merchandise items delivered to customer's homes. Finally, the Delivery/Warehouse Supervisor insures the cleanliness and organization of our warehouse facility, making sure that the facility operations are handled in a safe manner. Specific skills that are necessary for the position include: -Excellent organization and time management skills -Ability to prioritize, manage and delegate multiple tasks through the course of a shift -Strong attention to detail, as well as ability to take great care in insuring that customer's purchases are delivered in a timely fashion, free of damage to the item or the customer's surroundings -Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact, connect and engage warmly with customers and employees, both in the store setting and in the customer's home during deliveries Qualifications Minimum: High School diploma. One (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a warehouse/furniture/related goods environment. One (1) year of experience working in a warehouse or furniture/related goods/retail delivery capacity. Preferred: Two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a warehouse/furniture/related goods delivery capacity. Additional experience (beyond the minimum requirement of one year) in a warehouse or furniture/related goods delivery capacity. Additional retail/customer service experience Knowledge/Skillset Required: Candidate must have prior supervisory experience and possess the qualities necessary to successfully guide and lead others. Must be a good communicator with a strong attention to detail; a self-starter with a solid problem solving skillset. Must make safety a top priority in the workplace, and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment, and enforce the usage with employees. Must have previous delivery/furniture assembly/warehouse experience. Ability to operate a forklift in a warehouse setting, as well as lift 100 pounds comfortably is required. Must possess a valid driver license, and be able to provide proof of clean driving record with no violations.
