ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst man was arrested on a charge of domestic violence after an argument Saturday night. The suspect was identified as James W. Quinn, 50, of Elmhurst, police said. The incident happened about 10 p.m. in the 300 block of South Prospect Avenue. According to a police report, a woman said Quinn struck her in the face. But Quinn told police he moved his hands in front of his face to shield himself from the victim's aggressive moments and accidentally made contact with her face, the report said. Police said the woman had a large bruise with swelling on her left cheek. Quinn was taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said.
