ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police responded to four fights in the last few days. Here is information from the police reports: At least two men were seen fighting at 2 a.m. Sunday outside Elmhurst Hospital. Police were told a man and his friends were involved in a physical fight. An investigation is pending. One of the suspects was described as white, in his late 20s, 5 feet, 10 inches, having short hair and facial hair, and wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Another suspect was described as white and in his late 20s.Nathaniel U. Collins, 30, of Villa Park, was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at Schiller and York on charges of domestic battery, driving with a suspended license and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Collins swung his fist at a woman and struck her in the face. An officer saw a red mark beneath the victim's eye. Police were called to a domestic disturbance at noon Sunday in the 300 block of North West Avenue. A woman said she and another person were involved in an argument, but nothing physical occurred. No signs of injury could be seen on either person.An officer was flagged down by people in an argument at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of South York Street. Because of conflicting accounts of the incident, the people were released. The matter was listed as a domestic investigation. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
