ELMHURST, IL — An "at risk" elderly man who was reported missing Friday in Elmhurst has been found, the city said in a mass email. Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, Elmhurst police were told of the missing man, who suffers from several medical conditions and walks with a cane, the city said. That resulted in a heavy police presence in southwest Elmhurst. The man was found about 1 a.m. Saturday near Eldridge Park, police said. His core body temperature was found to be low, so he was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, according to the city email. "We are grateful he was able to be found due to the outside temperature and time that had passed," the email said. "All first responders on scene appreciate the cooperation and concern we received from residents in the community."
