Suspect Tackles Blowup Santa: Elmhurst Police

ELMHURST, IL — It's fair to say that at least one vandal in Elmhurst is not in the holiday spirit. About 8 p.m. Friday, a person got out of a red hatchback and ran into the front yard of a house in the 100 block of West Fremont. The person then proceeded to tackle a 20-foot-high, blowup version of Santa Claus, breaking one of the plastic legs, police said. Police were called, but could not find the suspect.
