ELMHURST, IL — A dog named Zoey was still inside a car that was stolen Tuesday morning in Elmhurst, police said. According to a news release, the car was parked in the lot at Elmhurst Crossing's At Home on Route 83. The keys were left inside the car. It happened about 10 a.m. Zoey was described as a tan female terrier shih tzu mix. The car was a white 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Illinois license plate 694 6860). The car was last seen headed west on North Avenue from Route 83. If you see the dog, call Elmhurst police at 630-530-3050.
