Please join CSU Spur on Tuesday, April 12, to volunteer with the Huerta Urbana Program at Focus Points Family Resource Center Volunteers will receive training and assist in preparing garden beds for planting and sowing some cold vegetables in new high tunnel hoop houses. No gardening experience is necessary. Volunteers will be asked to review the Focus Points volunteer handbook and sign the attached waivers. Questions? Email Sarah Miley at [email protected]. About Huerta Urbana Huerta Urbana is a three-year, multi-generational, urban farming program where participants earn money while learning skills needed to pursue a careers in agribusiness. The Huerta Urbana program is the second social enterprise created from (and in the backyard of) the Elyria-Swansea nonprofit, Focus Points Family Resource Center.
