Description
You're invited to hear several short stories on how to shift our current culture of violence into a culture of peace. You’re invited to a gathering to learn more about peacemaking in our current culture of violence and how we can walk in step with Jesus to uproot that culture and replace it with a culture of peace. Violence is on the rise in our city with Denver Metro receiving a national grade of “D” in overall safety and a “C-” for violent crimes. Chances are if you’re not directly affected, your neighborhood could be right next to those who are. As Christians what can we do to replace a culture of violence with a culture of peace? Though this is a heavy topic, the good news is, a thriving Church Body can actually shift a violent culture to a Kingdom culture. Please join in the conversation and learn more! Doors will open at 6:30 pm for appetizers and fellowship. Stories will begin at 7pm. Music & Worship will be led by Confluence Music Group The Presenters: Jonathan McMillan is a mentor, community activist, and Youth Violence Prevention Director for the City & County of Denver.
