The Umpire Mechanics Clinic to be held on March 25-27, 2022. The Umpire Mechanics Clinic to be held on March 25-27, 2022, will be conducted outside using the field facilities at the George W. Bush Little League Leadership Training Center should we experience inclement weather all field exercises and plate work will be conducted indoors. Enrollment in this clinic will be limited to forty (40) participants. Protective equipment will be needed for this clinic. Each student attending the clinic will need to provide their own equipment including an umpire hat, indicator for balls and strikes, baseball glove, mask, and complete plate gear (if they have it). The Umpire Mechanics Clinic emphasizes and offers training on both plate and base mechanics in the 2-umpire system. The cost of the clinic will include a lunch on Saturday, and a lunch on Sunday. Due to the on-going pandemic, it is imperative that you understand the following: “Little League reserves the right to implement mitigation efforts at tournaments that may include, but not limited to, masking, testing, and vaccination requirements.” The cost of the clinic is $60.00 per student. Enrollment will be limited to forty (40) umpire students.
